Crowns

1. Putting up with hard things for Jesus

Happy is the person who endures trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. James 1v12

CROWN OF LIFE – STRONG

2. Caring for others who are following Jesus

Be shepherds of the flock that are under your care. And when the chief shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away.  1 Peter 5v4

CROWN OF GLORY – SHINING

3. Helping others to get to know Jesus

You received the word of God which you heard from us. What is our hope, our joy, our crown of rejoicing in the presence of the Lord? Is it not you? 1 Thessalonians 2v13,19

CROWN OF REJOICING – HAPPY

4. Living for Jesus and his kingdom

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge will award to me on that day – and not only me, but also all who have longed for his appearing.  2 Timothy 4v8

CROWN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS – PURE

5. Putting your trust in Jesus

Praise the Lord – who forgives your sins, who heals all your diseases, and redeems your life from the pit, and crowns you with love and compassion. Psalm 103v3,4

CROWN OF LOVE AND COMPASSION – LOVING

6. Being disciplined, well trained

Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last for ever.   1 Corinthians 9v25

CROWN THAT WILL LAST FOR EVER – TO KEEP
