My prayer is that our fellowship with you as believers will bring about a deeper understanding of every good thing which we have in our life in union with Christ. Philemon v6
1. GOD IS GOOD
Acts 14v17. Nevertheless he did not leave himself without witness, in that He did good, gave us rain from heaven, fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.
Luke 1v53 He has filled the hungry with good things.
2. JESUS IS A “GOOD THING”
John 1v45,46 Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote – Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.” And Nathanael said, “Can any good thing come out of Nazareth?”
“Come and see.” said Philip.
3. FATHER’S RESPONSE TO HIS CHILDREN IS GOOD
Matthew 7v11 “If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him!”
4. GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME
James 1v17 Every good gift (the things God gives to us) and every perfect gift (the things God does for us) come down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variableness, nor shadow of turning.
5. THE PLANS GOD OVERSEES FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM ARE GOOD
Romans 8v28 And we know that all things work together into good for those who love God.
6. GOD’S PROSPECTS FOR YOU ARE GOOD
2 Thessalonians 2v16 Now our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and God, even our Father who has loved is and has given us everlasting encouragement and good hope through grace…
7. GOD’S WILL FOR YOUR LIFE IS GOOD
Romans 12 v2 Be transformed by the renewing of your mind so that you will prove what is the good, pleasing and perfect will of God.
8. THE WORK GOD HAS FOR YOU TO DO IS GOOD
Ephesians 2v10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to good works which He has already prepared in order that we should walk in them.
9. THE WORK THE HOLY SPIRIT IS DOING IN US IS GOOD
Philippians 1v6 Being confident of this very thing, that he who has begun a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
Galatians 5v22 For the fruit of the Spirit is……goodness…….
10. THE GOOD THINGS IN JESUS ARE FOR NOW AND FOR EVER
Hebrews 9v11 Christ came as a high priest of the good things to come.
v12 eternal redemption
v14 cleanse our consciences from dead works so that we may serve the living God.
v22 forgiveness
v26 to do away with sin
v28 appear a second time… to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him
Heb 10v1 The Law is only a shadow of the good things to come.
