Satisfied or Hungry

SATISFIED OR HUNGRY

Jesus said,

The thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy.

I have come that they might have life – life in all its fullness.

(John 10v10)

Jesus Christ is totally committed to make up completely

for every

hurt,

loss,

damage

and stain in your life,

whether caused by

yourself, others, the devil, circumstances, or religion.

Jesus said:

If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him. By this he meant the Spirit whom those who believed in him were later to receive. (John7v38,39)

Jesus declared:

I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never be hungry and he who believes in me will never be thirsty. (John 6v35)

Jesus answered:

If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.

Whoever drinks the water I will give him will never thirst. Indeed the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.  (John4v10,14)

Taste and see that the Lord is good. Happy is the man who takes refuge in him.

The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.

(Psalm 34v8,10)

Come all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come buy and eat! Come buy wine and milk without money and without cost.

Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labour on what does not satisfy?

Listen to me, and eat what is good, and your soul will delight in the richest of fare.

(Isaiah55v1,2)

Praise the Lord, O my soul;

all my inmost being, praise his holy name.

praise the Lord, O my soul,

and forget not all his benefits –

who forgives all your sins

and heals all your diseases,

who redeems your life from the pit

and crowns you with love and compassion,

who satisfies your desires with good things

so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

(Psalm103v1-5)

O God, you are my God,

earnestly I seek you;

my soul thirsts for you….

My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods.

(Psalm 63v1,5)

Happy are those you choose and bring near to live in your courts!

We shall be satisfied with the goodness of your house. (Psalm 65v4)

Then the Lord will take pity on his people:

I am sending you grain, new wine and oil,

enough to satisfy you fully.

.. and I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten…

and you shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of  the Lord your God who has dealt wondrously with you; and my people shall never be ashamed…

I will pour out my Spirit on all people…

 (Joel 2v19,26,28)

Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! For he satisfies the longing soul and fill the hungry soul with goodness. (Psalm107v8,9)

Happy are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.

(Matthew 5v6)

This is what the Lord says:

In the time of my favour I will answer you…

They will feed beside the roads, and find pasture on every barren hill.

They will neither hunger nor thirst…

He who has compassion on them will guide them and lead them beside springs of water. (Isaiah 49v8,9,10)

He turned the desert into pools of water and the parched ground into flowing springs; there he brought the hungry to live.

(Psalm 107v35,36)

My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour…

He has lifted up the humble. He has filled the hungry with good things

(Luke 1v46,47,52,53)

I will pour water on him that is thirsty and floods upon the dry ground.

I will pour my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing upon your descendents. (Isaiah 44v3)
