STEPS TO FULFILLING GOD’S PURPOSE FOR YOUR LIFE
Introduction:
1. God has a multifaceted purpose for your life.
2. You have already accomplished some of that purpose.
3. God wants you to fulfil that purpose.
4. God will do everything He can to help you to fulfil that purpose.
5. He will call you into the steps that will result in you fulfilling His purpose.
6. These steps can come more than once!
Mark 1 v9-15
1. A step of RELEASE
“At that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee”
2. A step of OBEDIENCE
“and was baptised”
3. A step of FELLOWSHIP
“by John in the Jordan”
4. A step of RECEIVING
“As Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.”
5. A step of COMPULSION
“At once the Spirit threw him out into the desert”
6. A step of FAITH
“and he was in the desert for forty days”
7. A step of AUTHORITY
“being tempted by Satan”
8. A step of SUPERNATURAL SECURITY
“He was with the wild animals, and angels attended him.”
9. A step of ACCOMPLISHMENT
“After John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God. ‘The time has come,’ he said. ‘The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news.’”
