Living as Jesus’ family

1. To all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. John 1v12

2. Those who are led by God’s Spirit are God’s children. For the Spirit that God has given you does not make you slaves and cause you to be afraid; instead the Spirit makes you God’s children, and by the Spirit’s power we cry out to God, “Daddy, Father.” Romans 8v14

3. See how much the Father has loved us! His love for us is so great that we are called God’s children – and so, in fact, we are. 1John 3v1

4. Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family – so Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers.” Hebrews 2v11

5. You must not be called “Teacher” because you have only one Teacher, and you are all brothers.

Matthew 23v8

6. “Who is my mother? Who is my brother? Whoever does what my Father in heaven wants them to do is my brother, my sister, my mother.” Matthew 12v48

7. Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He makes the sun to shine on bad and good people. Matthew 5v44

8. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love… Share with God’s people who are in need.

Romans 12v10, 13
