Welcome the Holy Spirit

Welcome the Holy spirit

1. to become a child of God – to connect with God and His Kingdom.

John 3v6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

2. to have your life directed from heaven – to be a son or daughter of the wind.

John 3v8 The wind/Spirit blows where it pleases; you hear the sound, but cannot tell where it comes from

or where it is going to. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.

3. to be completely fulfilled – to replace hurt, damage and loss.

John 4v14 Whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never thirst; but the water that I give him will become in him a fountain welling up to eternal life.

 4. to have Jesus-ness flowing through you – from Him to you – through you to others.

John 7v37 If any man thirst let him come to me and drink – he that believes in me –

as the scripture has said, “From within him shall flow rivers of living water.” He said this about the Spirit.

Welcome the Holy Spirit

5. to have a trustworthy daily home help – to do what you are not able to do on your own.

John 14v16 I will ask the Father and he will give you another “Called-alongsider” that he may abide with you forever – the Spirit of truth.

6. to speak to you – to have a direct personal relationship with you.

John 14v26 The “Called-alongsider”, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name will teach you everything, and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

7. to help you to know Jesus better – to help others to know Jesus better through you.

John 15v26 When the “Called-alongsider” is come, he shall give evidence about me.

8. to keep you on track – to strengthen you for the days ahead.

Johnn16v7 If I do not go away, the “Called-alongsider” will not come, but if I depart, I will send him to you.

Welcome the Holy Spirit

9. to be flowing in Holy Spirit revelation- using the gifts of the Spirit – downloading from heaven.

John 16v13-15 the Spirit of truth – he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak from himself, but whatever he hears, that is what he will say – and he will tell you things to come.

He shall glorify me for he shall receive what’s from me and report it to you.

10. to have peace and power doing what Jesus wants you to do.

John 20v21,22 Peace to you – as the Father sent me, so I am sending you.

And when he said this he breathed/blew on them and said, receive the Holy Spirit.
