Provision
The Lord is my shepherd;
I have everything I need.
Refreshment
He lets me rest in fields of green grass
and leads me to quiet pools of fresh water.
He gives me new strength.
Guidance
He guides me in the right paths,
as he has promised.
Confidence
Even if I go through the deepest darkness,
I will not be afraid, Lord,
for you are with me.
Your shepherd’s club and crook protect me.
Protection
You prepare a meal for me,
while my enemies look on;
Recognition
you anoint my head with oil;
Blessing
my cup is filled to overflowing.
Friendship
Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all my life;
Family
and I will be at home in God’s house for ever.
